    This Privacy Notice ("Notice") governs your use of our services which include all pages within the Adhere website:https://adhere.smartcomply.com/ ("the website"), our webapp: https://adhere-app.smartcomply.com/ ("the webapp") and other products and services (collectively referred to as the "Services") and your rights regarding our collection, usage, storage and protection of your data. Your privacy is important to us. In collecting some information, we are acting as a data controller and processor and, by law, we are required to provide you with information about us, about why and how we use your data, and about the rights you have over your data.

As such, we have implemented the necessary measures to comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), which is designed to regulate the collection, processing, and use of personal data in Nigeria.

  • Personal Information Collected

    As a user or merchant using the Services, we may collect your personal information including your full name, email address, phone number, company name, company size, and postal/company address. We may also collect your demographic information.
    We do not collect or store your payment information (e.g., credit card details). When you make a payment for our services, you will be redirected to our third-party payment processor, Flutterwave, which securely handles the payment transaction. Flutterwave will collect and process your payment information in accordance with its own privacy policy, which you can review here.
    We process your personal information based on the action you take, for example, when you create an account, complete a form related to one of our services, contact us for technical support or customer service.

It's important to note that the data protection laws of the service provider's country may not be as stringent as those in your country.

  • Data retention period

    Your data or any other information collected will be stored for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Notice. However, we will also retain data subject to relevant provisions of applicable laws, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

    Our website and web application currently do not use any cookies or similar tracking technologies to store personal information or track user activity. As we are committed to your privacy and compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), we will notify you of any future updates to this policy, including the introduction of cookies. Should we implement cookies in the future, you will be provided with detailed information about the types of cookies, their purposes, and options to manage your cookie preferences.   • International transfer of data

    To achieve the purposes described in this Notice, we may transfer your data to countries that may not offer an adequate protection level or are not considered to have sufficient law by the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA).
    Where personal data is to be transferred to a country outside Nigeria, we shall put adequate measures to ensure data security.
    Our data transfers to countries that do not offer an adequate protection level are subject to the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) conditions. We will therefore only transfer Personal Data out of Nigeria on one of the following conditions:
